Is this still standing?

Yes It is still standing and is used as an annex to the county courthouse. Thankfully, it has not been torn down to be replaced at a later date by something possibly.

Stayed in the Lamar when our band from Meadville marched in the Calf Scramble Parade, 1959 or sixty.

There is an article in the Meridian paper from August that indicates the hotel was named for LQC Lamar.
