Halfway through the East/Central Mississippi Poll: Modernists Come Out Swinging

With 316 votes in after one week, our latest 101 MissPlaces poll covering East/Central Mississippi has a Modernist skyscraper by Meridian architect Chris Risher, Sr. well out in front with 15% of the votes.

Comparing vote totals at the halfway point (a hazardous activity since they’re all over the map), East/Central is doing better than the Northeast poll (271), about the same as the Central poll (313), and less than the Oxford/Holly Springs (548), Natchez (641) or Coast polls (1,588). My hope is that at the least Meridian will do better in its second week than the Central poll, which went nowhere and achieved the least number of votes by far.

If you haven’t voted yet, or you’re shocked by the mid-term results, head over to the poll and cast your vote and end the link to your friends. We’ll see where it all ends up next Friday at midnight Lord willing and the creek don’t rise!
