  1. Oh that’s fun. I have some postcards of a similar Town House Motor Hotel in New Orleans by Curtis and Davis architects in my flickr.

  2. I absolutely love your website! I am fascinated with old, abandoned buildings too. I live in Meridian, Ms and I am interested in starting a haunted house in 2011. I have been searching for an old house or building to host it in and I am not having any luck! If you have any advice or an idea of a good place please e-mail me at hannahgracephoto@gmail.com. Thank you so much and keep up the great work!

    • Hmm, that’s an interesting question. The biggest abandoned buildings I know of in Meridian are the old Matty Hersee Hospital and of course the Threefoot Building neither of which I suspect the owners would want people wandering through it. (May be worth asking though.) What about asking the folks at Merrehope if they want to partner up on something to raise funds?

Oh and thanks for stopping by–I hope you’ll stick around!

  3. This is almost something of a knock-off of the early Howard Johnson’s designs by architect Rufus Nims. Is it still around?
