I said it was photogenic . . .

In Tuesday’s post about the grant to put a new roof on the New Hope Baptist Church in Estill, I remarked that the towered Gothic Revival building overlooking Deer Creek is one of Mississippi’s photogenic landmarks, and Suzassippi agreed. Then yesterday, when I went to my email to find the picture of the former Bolivar County Health Clinic that Andrew Morang, aka kodachromeguy, had sent me, I realized that he had proven my point by including a picture of the church in Estill, one that’s better than the one I used for Tuesday’s post. Andrew took the picture while he was poking around the Delta, and you can see images from that trip on his blog, Urban Decay.

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church (1918), Walcott Rd., Estill, Mississippi

Just Google “Estill Mississippi Church” and you’ll see that we’re not the only photographers who love this iconic Delta landmark!
