It is amazing to think that those containers traveled over half a mile, around the Copa and the Grand casinos, through who knows how many other structures to come to rest where they did. One of the 6000lb. paper rolls is visible by the roof on the ground. Those paper rolls from the port did quite a bit of damage to that neighborhood too. In those shipping containers were frozen chickens and bananas. This area stunk to high heaven after Katrina and was one of the last places to open back up because of health concerns.
