July is just too hot to think, so we took a little break from our on-going polling for the 101 Mississippi Places to See Before You Die list. We started building the list with readers’ suggestions back in December and now we’re polling each region in the state in order to cull the list from about 300 to 101. Hopefully, this process will be complete by the end of the year.
Our Vicksburg poll, as with all the others, will be open for two weeks, closing around midnight on August 12. I’ve linked the proposed properties to photos and National Register nominations below, just in case you want to do research before you vote. If, like me, you don’t want to be confused with the facts, simply scroll down to the poll and cast your votes. You can vote for up to 13 places in this poll.
