Museum Myths in Movies

I know I’m way behind all of ya’ll in the pop-culture arena, so you’ve probably already seen Slumdog Millionaire. But if not, you should just because it’s a really good movie and isn’t depressing as you might expect, but also for a wonderful scene at the Taj Mahal where the protagonists pretend to be docents to bilk clueless rich foreigners out of their money. The boys don’t know anything about the place, so they just make up stories that seem like they should be about right. It’s really hilarious, and fits with our recent discussions of historic tour myths in Getting Back to Myths and Columbus Pilgrimage Report.
