This Wednesday the landmark hand of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson will be returned to its place on the church steeple. If you’d like to see the hand up close before it returns to its lofty perch, you are invited to do so. The church’s minister, Rev. Michael Herrin, has invited the public to come see the workers re-install the hand. Weather permitting the hand will be lifted into place Wednesday August 9th at 9 a.m. If you’d like to have your picture made with the hand be there by 8 a.m. The church address is 605 Church Street Port Gibson, Mississippi 39150.
If you missed the story of the hand being removed for routine repair, you can read this post here…
This is a once in 30 years’ chance so if you’ll be in the Port Gibson area on the 9th be sure to stop by!
