I don’t classify myself as a serious connoisseur of architectural collectibles, but I do occasionally like to browse the internet looking for them. But I have to say, I’ve never seen anything like this one, which I came across in the Clarion-Ledger (Aug. 31, 1926) while searching for something else entirely on newspapers.com. This Friday’s $64,000 question is, how much would you pay for a roll of (fine, absorbent) Edwards House toilet paper?

I bought a chair from the King Edward once, paid $40 for it. Still have it, too. But I’m devoted to Scott tissue.

How much would I pay for a roll of Edwards House toilet paper? I suppose that depends on how badly one needs a square.
Seeing as scale in a rendering is everything, this actually reminds me of the giant paper rolls from the Port that were littered all over west Gulfport after Katrina.
