If you’ve had occasion to drive down North State Street in Jackson in the past month you might have noticed that Bailey Junior High School (now Bailey Magnet School) is looking more tan than it has in recent years. For a while now, Bailey’s poured concrete exterior has been looking, well, a little shabby and mildewed, so Jackson Public Schools decided to give it a good bath, turning the greyish-blackish exterior back to its original tannish. I’m told this was accomplished not by high-powered washers (which can often damage the surfaces of buildings) but with a cleaner called MetroClean Easy, a wash applied by the company that owns the product, Metro Clean. I had been kicking myself for not getting pictures during the cleaning, but last week, a friend forwarded these pictures that had been forwarded to him through several e-mail strings, apparently from the cleaning company. Enjoy the before and afters!
