Michelle at the library checked the city directory 4 1914-6 and this man was a resident of the Royal Hotel and it might b a typo. We will eyeball the document. The subject file at MDAH only has a John P, with no file 4 a J.R. More later.]]></description>

By the standards of that day, it wasn&#039;t even mildly incorrect, it was just the way pretty much most white people thought about the recent history of the state. Either way, political incorrectness wasn&#039;t the right phrase--maybe I just shouldn&#039;t have put a warning.]]></description>
