I think the boiler under the gym caught fire in the summer of 1950 and burned the gym pretty good but they had it ready to go when school started. Those three years were very enjoyable to me.

To a scared 13 year old girl, it was a dark, spooky place. Very depressing at that time. I would like to go back and see it through adult eyes.
