Speaking of 2001, I decided a few years ago that I should actually watch it since it’s such a sci-fi icon. I lasted about 45 minutes and decided I really had seen enough. Talk about boring and pretentious.

You and W. White must be collaborating to get on my good side today.

If it does come down to a contest between me and the database, maybe it’ll turn out like that Star Trek episode where the computer was supposed to run the Enterprise and Capt. Kirk was just supposed to sit and let it take over, but then the computer went all crazy and Kirk (or was it Spock–must watch again) had to make it kill itself because of the illogic of it all.
