Delta Queen (II)

Matt Hurley at Weapons of Mass Discussion concludes “It is amazing that this situation hasn’t been fixed yet…”  I totally agree–it seems obvious to me that grounding the Delta Queen is the wrong thing to do. Everyone wants safety, of course, but the rules, as I understand them, were mostly written for ocean-going vessels, which are larger and nowhere near land. I admit I’m biased, but good grief, it’s ridiculous that something can’t be worked out. WMD also contains the text from a letter Rep.
